About Loperamide
Loperamide is a medication proven effective at controlling diarrhea. It is suggested, though, that Loperamide not be used on children under 3 (Li, Grossman, and Cummings, 2007). The effectiveness of Loperamide as a diarrheal medication is the reason we have it up here despite it not being a food.
