Papaya, specifically the digestive enzymes in papaya have been shown to help with digestive disorders (Muss, Mosgoeller, and Endler, 2012; Roxas, 2008). Digestive enzymes have also been shown to help IBS symptoms including "bloating, flatulence and abdominal pain" (Ciacci et al., 2011). Digestive enzymes have some potential interactions (mostly positive).
