The effectiveness of both spearmint and peppermint in nausea reduction is well established (Abdolhosseini, 2017; Abdolhosseini et al., 2017; Aliasl et al., 2015; Tate, 1997). Mint can even prevent nausea from occuring (Sahhinfar et al., 2017). Spearmint seems to have more evidence but both mint options, and mint in general, have been proven effective.
